Hidden

"Hidden" shows without showing everything. The images and compositions stand as a metaphor for what's hidden – what quietly lives beneath our "surface," in secret. For the things we only live out when no one's watching, the things we don't like to talk about openly.

I deliberately leave these images without a deep explanation. What matters far more is the feeling that arises in the viewer – arousal, shame, confusion, unease, pleasure – whatever that reaction may be, it says more about what's going on inside the viewer than about the actual moment captured in the image. We unconsciously project our own hidden inner world onto these pictures, and in doing so, we end up explaining less about the images themselves and more about ourselves.
